Throughout the Summer, beginning the week of May 19th, 2025, JMU Networking will be going through the process of updating and replacing the Access Points (AP) inside all the buildings across campus. These replacements have been scheduled in advance, and have been coordinated in conjunction with EMS, Summer Camps, FM maintenance schedules, and communicated through their respected Building and/or Technology Coordinators. Please note that this only impacts wireless connectivity.

Starting July 14th through July 18th, IT Networking technicians will be on-site, alongside networking contractors to replace access points in offices, classrooms, conference rooms and other areas. The area’s they will be working in will be as follows:

1593 S, Main (Dining Services Warehouse)
1595 S. Main (Motor Pool Alt. Fuel)
1598 South Main (Breeze)
1599 S. Main
1603 S. Main (Motor Pool Garage)
AUBC
East Campus Dining
Alumnae

Actions that may be required:

Reconnect to Wi-Fi: Please note that as access points are being changed, connectivity may be intermittent or delayed. Users may need to disconnect and reconnect to the wireless network to restore connectivity. In some instances, it may be necessary to forget the network and re-add it. If issues persist users may need to restart their computer.
